A hose lifter for various loads and work processes
From cardboard boxes to large-format panels: The eT-Lift is configured to suit the application
Lifting panels, moving boxes, or handling containers: In many workplaces, lifting and positioning tasks are repeated throughout the entire workday. What may seem manageable with a single workpiece can quickly become a long-term physical strain due to frequency, weight, and unwieldy dimensions.
The vacuum lifters in the eT-Lift series help pick up various loads, move them within the intended working range, and set them down in a controlled manner. However, the vacuum lifter alone is not the decisive factor. It is the combination of the suction tool, operation, vacuum generation, and overhead crane that makes for a suitable handling solution.
The load determines the configuration
The material, surface, size, and weight determine which suction tool is used. Flat panels require different suction cups and crossbars than cardboard boxes, containers, or workpieces with unusual shapes.
The workflow also plays an important role:
- Where is the load applied?
- What distance does it need to be moved?
- In what position is it placed?
- How large is the required range of motion?
- What spatial considerations need to be taken into account?
- How often does this process repeat?
Based on this, euroTECH combines the necessary components into an application-specific solution. The basic configuration consists of a suction tool or crossbeam, a hose lifter, a vacuum generator, and a vacuum hose. Upon request, euroTECH also designs the appropriate overhead crane system and integrates the system into new or existing workstations.
Two versions for different tasks
The eT-Lift-mini is available for compact and frequently recurring pick-and-place tasks. It can handle loads of up to 65 kg and is suitable, for example, for moving cardboard boxes.
The eT-Lift is used for larger and heavier workpieces. For horizontal handling, it has a load capacity of up to 220 kg, depending on the specific configuration. This allows it to pick up, among other things, large-format panels and other heavy workpieces and move them within the designated work area.
The specific load capacities and possible workpiece dimensions are verified for each application based on the load, the vacuum tool, and the overall configuration.
Intuitive one-handed control
Operation is performed directly at the control handle. The intuitive one-handed control allows the load to be picked up, lifted, and lowered in a controlled manner. This enables the operator to directly control the lifting process and position the load with precision.
Especially for frequently repeated processes, the support provided by the tube lifter can reduce physical strain and help ensure a more consistent flow of material.
Quickly Change the Suction Tool
If the material, shape, or task changes, it is not necessarily required to replace the entire handling solution. With the quick-change device, the suction tool can be replaced in just a few simple steps.
For example, the eT-Lift can be converted from a tool for cardboard boxes to a suction cup for other workpiece shapes. Operating handles, extensions, and control heads can also be customized depending on the application.
Before any retrofit, euroTECH verifies whether the desired tool is compatible with the existing design and the new load data.
Space for movement tailored to the process
In addition to the load, the distance between the pickup and drop-off points also determines the design of the solution. The overhead crane system makes it possible to move the tube lifter within the designated work area.
Depending on the workstation, this can be accomplished, for example, using a jib crane or a crane system. It is crucial that the reach, stroke, and range of motion are suited to the actual process. That is why euroTECH designs tube lifters and overhead crane systems as a coordinated system.
Remaining Calm During a Power Outage
Potential malfunctions must also be taken into account during the design phase. In the safety function shown in the video, the load is not released abruptly in the event of a power failure. The tube lifter lowers slowly while the load remains suctioned. Only after it has come to a controlled stop does the load detach from the suction tool.
The safety functions that are required and available for a specific application are evaluated as part of the design process.
One series, many possibilities
The eT-Lift is not a rigid, one-size-fits-all solution designed for just one specific load. By combining different sizes, suction tools, operating options, and overhead crane configurations, it creates a material-handling solution tailored to the load, travel path, and work process.
Whether it's a cardboard box, a container, a panel, or another workpiece: the starting point is always the specific task at hand.
