Vacuum specialist euroTECH solved the handling problem of Rettenmeier Tatra Timber s.r.o., the Slovakian plant of Rettenmeier Holding AG, by using several eT-Gripper area grippers. Rettenmeier is one of the leading, innovative and market-oriented companies in the wood processing industry.
When Rettenmeier's Slovakian plant encountered complications when handling its glued wooden panels with several gantries, the company decided to replace its previous vacuum components and opted for products from euroTECH Handling GmbH. Previously, the panels were transported using steel suction frames with suction plates. This constellation could no longer meet the requirements of Rettenmeier's new products. This is why Jaroslav Pudiš, plant manager at Rettenmeier, contacted euroTECH. To solve the problem, the Geislingen-based company offered Pudiš its eT-Gripper area grippers including aluminum suction frame instead of the suction plates for two gantries.
"Our offer seemed to meet the requirements exactly," says euroTECH Area Sales Manager Michal Mikláš, who looks after Rettenmeier in Slovakia. "After we had offered our area grippers for two gantries, Rettenmeier promptly extended the request to three gantries. A short time later, the suction frames were delivered with our area grippers." Rettenmeier carried out the conversion of the gantries to the new suction frames itself.
"We were very satisfied with the new suction frames," says Rettemeier's plant manager Pudiš. "That's why we also recommended this solution to our other sites." "Shortly afterwards, we received an order for further gantries, which we were to equip with our eT grippers on complete suction frames," says Mikláš. "This could be a viable basis for continuing the cooperation in the coming years."
The eT-Gripper surface grippers from euroTECH are used for handling and processing panel products made of wood, metal, ceramics or similar materials. Dust, sawdust, wood shavings or bark waste lie on their surface, which pushes suction plates to their limits. The eT-Gripper vacuum pads with their adaptable suction mat are predestined for such cases. The suction mat ensures a vacuum-tight connection between the load and the gripper by sealing the rough surface and at the same time compensating for height differences in the load. They are therefore particularly suitable for use in sawmills or the timber and furniture industry.
The maintenance-friendly eT grippers have a modular design, making all components easily accessible. This means that the surface grippers, which are made from material-saving light metal profiles, can be opened and cleaned with little effort. This not only increases the service life, but also guarantees hygienic, clean lifting. The high quality of materials and workmanship as well as sophisticated technology stand for reliability and durability. The modular and clearly laid out design with only a few components and low tendency to wear makes euroTECH vacuum area grippers efficient tools in handling technology.
